James Martin 48" Backsplash, Charcoal Soapstone Description
At 48 inches this runs the full width of a 48 inch top in one length, so there is no seam sitting in the middle of the wall. It is cut from Charcoal Soapstone Silestone, 4 inches high and a full 3 cm thick, heavy enough to read as part of the counter instead of a strip stuck on the wall.
The charcoal ground is almost flat in tone and the white veins are thin and few, which is what honed soapstone looks like before years of oiling change it.
It matches the James Martin 040, 050 and 060 series tops at the same width. Tops and backsplashes are not always cut from the same slab, so expect a small difference in tone between the two rather than an exact match.
