Frontier20 Montauk White is a 12x48 slate look porcelain Riser. Frontier20 is the 20 mm outdoor programme, thick enough to be laid dry on gravel, sand or pedestals.
Slate is split rather than sawn, so its face has a shallow cleft texture, and that texture is pressed into this tile. This is the upright face of a step, sized to sit under the tread and finish the flight.
The body is 20 mm and the edges are rectified, so it lays with a tight grout joint. The surface is matte. One box covers 2.58 sq ft, 1 piece.
It is produced to order rather than pulled from stock, which is worth planning for early in a job. Landmark presses and fires it at Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
