Frontier20 Montauk Black, 12x48, a porcelain Riser with a slate face. Frontier20 is the 20 mm outdoor programme, thick enough to be laid dry on gravel, sand or pedestals.
Natural slate sheds thin layers over time in a busy room; the porcelain face stays as it is. This is the upright face of a step, sized to sit under the tread and finish the flight.
The body is 20 mm and the edges are rectified, so it lays with a tight grout joint. The surface is matte. One box covers 2.58 sq ft, 1 piece.
It is produced to order rather than pulled from stock, which is worth planning for early in a job. Production is domestic, from the Mount Pleasant, Tennessee plant.
