Essence Montauk Dark, 3x24, a porcelain Bullnose with a slate face. Essence keeps the cleft texture of slate and drops the flaking that comes with the real stone.
Natural slate sheds thin layers over time in a busy room; the porcelain face stays as it is. This is the edge piece: one long side is rounded and glazed, which is what a cut tile can never be.
The body is 9 mm and the edges are rectified, so it lays with a tight grout joint. The surface is matte. One box covers 4.65 sq ft, 10 pieces.
Production is domestic, from the Mount Pleasant, Tennessee plant.
