Essence Montauk Grey Slate Look Porcelain Tiles 24x48

This is the Essence Montauk Grey tile, 24x48 in a slate face. Essence keeps the cleft texture of slate and drops the flaking that comes with the real stone.

Slate is split rather than sawn, so its face has a shallow cleft texture, and that texture is pressed into this tile. Use it across kitchens, bathrooms and open living areas, on the floor or up the wall.

The body is 9 mm and the edges are rectified, so it lays with a tight grout joint. The surface is matte. One box covers 15.5 sq ft, 2 pieces.

It is made in the United States, at Landmark's Mount Pleasant plant in Tennessee.
